don’t like small print, but we need a set of Terms & Conditions so that we
are fully compliant with the necessary laws and licenses in the US.
GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
THE FOLLOWING TERMS GOVERN OUR AGREEMENT TO
PROVIDE CCTV SERVICES TO YOU AS THE CUSTOMER. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU READ
THESE IN FULL AND CAREFULLY.
BY NATURE OF HAVING AN OTC ACCOUNT YOU AGREE
TO BE BOUND BY THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
General
terms and conditions
These General Terms and Conditions together with any specific terms and conditions for your services and the acceptable use of policy form the agreement between you and us. if any of these General Terms and Conditions are inconsistent with any specific terms and conditions for your services, then the specific Terms and Conditions shall prevail. by signing up for the services you warrant that you are capable of entering into a binding contract; or are acting with the express permission of a person or organization and using the payment details of that person and that they also agree to be bound by the terms of this agreement. You also agree to comply and adhere to any and all applicable laws and regulations in relation to this agreement.
- Guidelines
to customer
- Our services on this website are provided for Central Florida only.
- Customer should make premises available without interruption during OTC’s normal working hours, 09:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday through Saturday, excluding holidays.
- Procurement of cables and laying by OTC will ensure you long lasting quality footage.
- Accessories like HDMI cable, pipe, bent, clamp etc. will be arranged by OTC.
- Mobile configuration can be done at additional cost on availability of Internet connectivity on the premises during installation date.
- Monitor should be arranged by the customer during the installation to preview and confirm quality output on the premises.
- Mobile configuration / permanent monitor connection requested by the customer after the date of installation will attract additional charges.
- Ensure that the Internet wiring access is near to the location of DVR.
- UPS (battery backup surge protection) connection to DVR is advisable for uninterrupted coverage.
- Mounting DVR in network rack is advisable to ensure that, it is undisturbed by manual handling.
- Installation requires drilling holes in interior and exterior walls. OTC limits its liability to the patching of said holes and cannot be responsible for providing paint or wall coverings to match those colors or coverings existing within Customer’s premises.
- One-year warranty applicable for manufacturing defects of the product supplied by OTC.
- Service warranty will not applicable for the quality issues raised due to own cable and laying.
- Customers are advised to pay materials costing on signing/accepting this term and order form, also to settle the full invoice amount on completion of installation.
- The Customer also agrees not to permit any third party to tamper with the security system without the written consent of OTC for the duration of warranty period.
- The Customer should inform OTC in advance if there will be a change of broadband supplier or significant works taking place that may affect the installation.
- Conditions not
covered by warranty
- Damage resulting
from accidents, natural causes, alteration, misuse, tampering and abuse.- Failure of Customer to properly follow
operating instructions and user equipment maintenance guidelines provided by us
at time of installation.
- Trouble in
Internet line or interruption to commercial or residential power.
- Changes in
configuration by other parties (Telecoms, Internet providers etc.).
- Products added to
the CCTV system not supplied directly by us.
- Work carried out by police, fire or other
authorities, or by any telecommunication agency or other party.
- We do not
warranty third party equipment. Any defective equipment will be under the
customers responsibility to resolve with the third party seller
- Failure of Customer to properly follow
- Costs
- All quotes are
valid for a period of 30 days.- The quoted costs may be revised if:
- You require the
work to be carried out more urgently than agreed. - You change the specification.
- Your premises are
in some way unsuitable for the equipment and this was not apparent during the
telephone/e-mail conversation or there are circumstances which we should have
been made aware of. - Any other special
circumstances that arise and we were not made aware of in writing when
supplying our original quotation arose. This includes:
Re-visits of the
installer/technicians/engineer for reconfiguration of the system.
Remote viewing, where the customer is
responsible for the availability of a broadband internet service, a router that
provides the ‘PORT-FORWARDING’ function and a public (static) IP address.
- The installation
work is outside the working hours of 9am – 5pm Monday – Saturday, except
statutory holidays. Requests made by the customer to install outside these
working hours will incur additional charges.- Engineers are asked to work outside standard
practices of installations. Unless stated on the Works Schedule or we were made
aware in writing when supplying our original quotation. Installs should be
carried out in easily accessible areas without the need for additional labor
work. This includes:
- Engineers are asked to work outside standard
- Underground
cabling - Redecoration
- Building work
- Removal of floorboards,
Carpet lifting/laying - Erecting poles
- Cable containment
- Exceptionally high
ceilings - Drilling through
walls thicker than 12 in
The
above will incur additional charges as agreed by the company representatives if
required.
NOTE
~ Additional charges may be made if our engineers/technicians/installers are
not provided with access to doors, shutters, windows, or any other areas where
cables and equipment needs to be installed thereby incurring extra cable
length. In any case, the customer will not be liable for extra costs beyond
their reasonable knowledge.
- Terms and Conditions:
- All payments are
to be made in favor of OTC.- All taxes
applicable at prevailing rates from time to time.
- Customer needs to
pay 50% payment along with purchase order and 50% payment upon completion of
installation.
- The standard
delivery period of CCTV Services is 15 days from the date of acceptance of
purchase order by OTC. We cannot accept any responsibility or liability
whatsoever for any claim arising in connection with any delay in delivery or
completion howsoever caused.
- We shall give
service warranty for a period of 12 months from the date of installation of
CCTV.
- General Terms and
Conditions and Warranty Terms apply.
- Installation
materials like pipe, bend, clamp etc. will be provided by OTC.
- If you want to
view your cameras remotely over the Internet or on your phone, make sure you
arrange with your Internet Service Provider to get at least 10 Mbps upload
speed.
- Monitor / Display
Screen with HDMI / VGA port should be arranged by the customer.
- Additional Accessories like mouse, network
cable, router, etc., should be arranged by the customer before installation.
- Cable & Laying will attract additional
charges, if it exceeds the specification mentioned in your quotation.
- Additional charges will apply If we are unable
to configure the remote viewing on the day of the scheduled installation due to
IT technical issues, ISP unavailability or lack of details such as Router IP
address, user name and password then further charges will apply to remotely
configure or revisit to complete the set up.
- The company (OTC) cannot be held liable for
client IT issues such as change of router, failed connection, change of
internet service provider, re-set of routers, new mobile phone, loss of
settings on the router or a new operating system.
- Payment is by cash, bank transfer or
debit/credit card. The payment is to be completed BEFORE the engineer leaves
the property. WE DO NOT ACCEPT CHECKS.
- The payments against invoices shall be due
upon completion of installation. If bills are unpaid for more than 5 days,
services shall be deactivated without notice. If payment to us is overdue, we
will charge you interest at 2% over the base rate of total invoice value, from
the date of our invoice until the date you pay. An additional $99.00 late
payment fee will be applied. Should you refuse to pay the money plus any
interest and late payment fee due to us, we will transfer the payment
collection to a debt recovery agent or solicitor. The additional costs of the
debt collection and any legal and court fees will also apply.
- Orders that are cancelled before 48 hours
prior to the agreed installation date will be subject to a $50 processing fee.
The remainder of the deposit will then be returned to you in the form it was
paid. Orders that are cancelled after 48 hours prior to the agreed installation
date will be subject to the loss of the complete down payment.
- You agree to allow our engineers to take non
identifying photographs of your installation for publication on our website and
digital media channels including social media.
- All taxes
- LIABILITY
- The company (OTC)
shall not be liable, unless due to our own negligence for the costs of any
work, repairs or replacement of equipment which results from fire, electrical
power surge, storm, flood, accident, neglect, misuse or malicious damage.
- The company (OTC)
does not warrant or represent that that the operation of the installation will
be uninterrupted or error free. We provide the system to assist in the security
of the customers premises but does not thereby warrant the security of the
property, the customer or the contents therein.
- The company (OTC)
does not act and shall not be deemed to act as an insurer of the customers
property or contents contained therein and give no warranty that by virtue of
the installation of the system, the property or contents contained therein are
completely secure or inviolable.
- The company (OTC)
shall have no liability in contract, unless due to our own negligence for any
loss suffered and in particular, we do not accept any liability whatsoever for
any consequential loss or damage (including loss of earnings or profits) which
may arise from any malfunction or defect of the system.
